The Thinner The Better By estee-lauder.perfumes-mall.com
The psyche of a female is very delicate when dealing with the subject of weight and appearance. The majority of woman view themselves as either overweight or at least larger than they really are. There was a recent study where woman of different degree of height and weight were given drawing material to depict themselves and almost all drew larger mid-sections, thighs and buttocks than what they really had. Each has this impression that they need to change something in order to fix the imperfections that they were born with or obtained over life. Where does this feeling come from? Back in the 1940s and 1950s, the women's role was one of homemaker and house wife. They were there to help their husband, cook and clean, and bring children into the world. They usually wore unflattering dresses and worried about what menu item to prepare for the evenings meal. I know I'm simplifying this but there was not a sense of ownership in their life. With the women's movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the emancipation process had stated. The burning of bras and the change of how a woman was viewed was challenged. The roles were now very different and with that came a change in the way the media sensed women would or should be. Television media shows in the United States display Ally McBeal, played by Calista Flockhart, Liz Hurley, the face of EsteƩ Lauder, and "Posh Spice", Victoria Beckham, as the typical woman. America's Top Model shows emaciated teens that strive for fame and fortune showing bodies that are so thin
that entire rib cages stick out. Magazines at supermarket checkout, television and newspaper advertisements show women as a size 2 to 4 as normal when real women at size 10 to 16 is the correct proportion. Lesley Hornby or as she was known by her nickname Twiggy was a very famous model in the 1960s and 1970s that was extremely thin (when she started to model she weighed about 90 lbs.) and was the weight conscious start that changed woman's approach to fashion. The dresses she wore were straight up and down without a bump to be seen and the curves from previous models were now a thing of the past. Women tried desperately to get to that point where they emulated the "twiggy" image. Thin was in and all women wanted that stick figure appearance. It's now decades later and women still strive for this image. An entire weight loss industry came from the possibility of getting that famous unhealthy look. Designers still set up their fashion for about 1% of the population, but women continue to strive to reach this type of body. The entire nation has worked their magic on woman to almost reach the level of drug addiction. This is not something that can easily be overcome, but all women need to understand their beauty is not what is projected on TV. Tom Rooney has been writing about diet and exercise since 2002. He has shown individuals the ability to change their body with a simplistic approach and common sense. http://www.homefitnessbody.com/blog You will find the best discounts on Estee Lauder perfume and Estee Lauder cologne.
